Well, that’s a serious allegation, slapped on a star like Jason Bateman. And I don’t think identity theft is a petty crime, particularly when it involves a celebrity like Jason Bateman.

Come on guys, what has happened to your wits?

Can you imagine someone like Jason pick-pocketing, leave aside the option of being a professional crime lord?

Not at all, right!

But then what is this ruckus about ID theft?

Well, actually, it’s a new comedy project, which would include Jason Bateman as an actor and producer.

And do you know who would play the role opposite him?

None other Bridesmaids sensation, Melissa McCarthy! Interestingly, Melissa’s character would be the one stealing someone’s identity!

Now that is a funny and truly interesting proposition!

I know you would put a very simple counter argument that my views are contradictory. To that, I would like to remind you that Jason is also the producer of the movie, and that way, he is the one who takes control of the so-called identity theft.

I guess, I am making things complicated and should be leaving everything on the audience. I mean, they should get to decide whether Jason is the culprit or the Bridesmaid’s heavyweight is one who is behind the goof-up.

I am an ardent devotee of Jason and have the download of his acts from Arrested Development, since the very first season premiere. And I am in no mood of seeing the comedy movie, which would be a far cry from what is intended – incessant humor and fun.

You know what, when the initial plot was written, the character that had been assigned to Melissa McCarthy role was touted to be played by a guy. But Jason got impressed, when he witnessed a similar act of ID theft in Bridesmaid. That is when he dropped the script and decided to give a chance to Melissa.

I just pray hard that Jason’s decision doesn’t spoil her career!

Well jokes apart, all of us would want to see both the stars bring us an unstoppable series of laugh riots.
